Bamboo Groove is a Three D Radio show hosted by Adelaide DJ Zoe G, built around soulful, groove-led music from across electronic, funk and soul. The selections move freely through house, jazz, hip-hop, broken beat, downtempo and left-field electronic sounds, with musical connection taking priority over strict genre boundaries. Rather than following a club-only format, Bamboo Groove leaves room for warm-up records, listening music, forgotten favourites and newer releases, linking dancefloor sounds with the music that sits around them. Artists as varied as Erykah Badu, Yussef Dayes, Khruangbin, Nu Genea, MJ Cole and Session Victim give a good sense of the show’s range. With Zoe G behind the controls, Bamboo Groove reflects the broader digging and eclecticism that also runs through her DJ work: rhythmic, soulful and always open to an unexpected turn.
