Switch SA

Switch SA has been running Adelaide's kink and fetish club night for sixteen years, which makes it one of the longest standing community organised nights in the city regardless of what happens on the dance floor. It runs monthly at Cosmos Club on Waymouth Street, thirty dollars on the door, strictly eighteen plus, and every edition carries a theme. Recent ones have taken in a Fringe tie in, a Pride party, a winter masquerade ball, a wild west night and a steampunk evening, with the sixteenth birthday marked as an undies, onesies and lingerie party. The format holds steady even when the dress code does not. DJs run all night across the dance floor, alongside designated play areas, a cuddle couch, a smokers garden and a cloak room near the entry. Everything is community run rather than commercially operated, and the invitation stays the same each time: come as you are, stay as long as you like.
