Niche

Niche Productions is an Australian touring company and booking agency founded in Sydney by James Browning in 2004. Created to serve underground sounds under-represented in the local market, Niche built its reputation across soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop, beats and electronic music. Its work ranges from national and international tours to festival programming and artist representation, with Adelaide included on Australasian touring routes. Browning worked on music programming for Sydney Festival from 2006 to 2009, while Niche was named Touring Company and Promoter of the Year by 3D World in 2008. The company co-created Days Like This! festival in 2009, presenting acts including Public Enemy, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings and Carl Craig. In 2017 it expanded its booking operation through Niche Talent Agency, developed with agent Daniel Sant. Niche represents established and emerging Australian and New Zealand artists while continuing to tour distinctive international acts.
