Dangerous Goods Entertainment is a Melbourne electronic music promoter, touring company and artist management operation founded in 2019 by Mitchell Lyman and Alex Schmidt. What began as a 40-person seated rave during Melbourne’s lockdown period grew into national events brand, staging parties and festivals across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Its programming centres on techno, hard techno, psytrance, groove and hardstyle, pairing local acts with international names. The flagship DG XXL series has expanded into outdoor and indoor festivals, while past projects include Dangerous Goods Open Air, RAVE x HEX, Boiler XXL and the AURA Music & Arts Festival. The company has presented artists including Boris Brejcha, Timmy Trumpet, Will Sparks, Ace Ventura, OGUZ, Trym, Electric Universe and Pretty Pink. Dangerous Goods also runs touring experiences and overseas trips while maintaining a community focus built around energy, inclusion and a love of underground electronic music.
