Chris Lipapis

Chris Lipapis is an Adelaide DJ who has spent well over a decade at the uplifting and driving end of trance. After working through several genres early on, he settled into the high-energy sound that has defined his sets and radio work. From 2012 to 2014, Chris ran Dreams Trance Night in Adelaide with his brother Michael Lipapis and friend Gootz, providing a dedicated home for the genre. His performance history includes Stereosonic, the main room at the HQ complex supporting Dash Berlin, and a Washington DC appearance supporting Will Atkinson and Craig Connelly. Chris also hosts Velocity Sessions on Discover Trance Radio, a monthly series that has passed 80 episodes and includes artist tributes, year-based throwbacks and best-of editions. He has appeared on Contagious’s Your Unity, recorded live in Adelaide, and contributed reviews to TranceMag. Still active, Chris continues to connect Adelaide’s trance history with the uplifting, melodic and energetic records shaping his sound today.
