Ben Zen aka Ben Nemet

Ben Zen is the performing name of Adelaide DJ, promoter and instructor Ben Nemet. A self-taught selector with more than 15 years of experience, he is best known for progressive and uplifting trance, while his broader work covers rock and roll, R&B, EDM and rave music. His versatility has taken him from entertainment to club and festival stages, with appearances at Adelaide Casino, Adelaide Oval, the Art Gallery of South Australia, HQ and the Trance Arena at Festival X Adelaide in 2022. Ben is associated with Reborn Trance Australia and has supported touring artists including Genix and Jan Johnston. His radio appearances include a live guest hour on Contagious’ Your Unity program for Fresh 92.7 and a feature tracing his lifelong connection with trance. Ben also teaches DJing, scratching, vinyl and music production across Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor and Ableton. Behind the decks, he combines technical control, crowd awareness and a preference for melodic progression and uplifting energy.
