Ange aka Angelo Charitakis

Ange, aka Angelo Charitakis, is a veteran Australian DJ with roots stretching back to 1983 and a connection to disco culture. Known for sets filled with 70s and 80s disco, funk, Hi-NRG, dance and R&B classics, he brings several generations together without losing the warmth and fun at its centre. Ange has been a regular presence at Melbourne disco events, including appearances at the Veneto Club, Dimples and Viva La Vida, and often performs alongside Disco Billy and DJ Pep. His long-running partnership with Disco Billy has also brought him to Adelaide for the Nothing But Disco series at Cosmos Club, where the pair deliver extended sets packed with familiar favourites and hands-in-the-air moments. Away from the club, Ange shares live broadcasts and recorded sessions through Mixcloud, giving listeners another way to hear his selections. With more than four decades behind the decks, Ange remains focused on strong songs, smooth pacing and the simple pleasure of keeping a dance floor busy.
