Lauren Neko

Originally from Adelaide and based in Sydney, Lauren Neko is a DJ, vocalist, producer and music educator. Her connection with dance music began at a 2004 house-anthems party at Adelaide’s Top of the Ark, starting a career spanning house, disco, garage, rave and queer club culture. Combining DJ sets with live vocals, she has appeared alongside Purple Disco Machine, Sonny Fodera, Horse Meat Disco, David Penn, Mousse T and Claptone, while performing at Hed Kandi Ibiza, Mardi Gras, Poof Doof, Cloud 9 Fiji and Karma Beach Club Bali. Her recorded work includes collaborations connected with Nicky Romero and Roni Size, Ministry of Sound compilations and “Do Alright”, which reached No. 57 on the ARIA Club Chart in 2023. Neko founded Glössy Entertainment, fronts the ultraviolet project LUV’D UP and has operated the Turn The Night label. She is an Australian Institute of Music lecturer, bringing more than two decades of performance, songwriting and music-business experience into her teaching.
