Kortex aka Kian Mohr

Kortex is an Adelaide DJ and producer bringing a bass-driven edge to the city’s underground. Moving between drum & bass, UK garage, 140, dubstep, EDM and techno, his sets unite heavy low end, euphoric melodies and sharp changes of pace rather than one fixed genre. That versatility places him within Adelaide’s bass and sound-system community, including the 2024 WILD Sound System Showcase at Confessions, where he appeared alongside SCATTRD, TZUSI, Prettydark and Profeshto. As Kortexadl, he is also developing an original production catalogue with the same high-energy approach. His releases include “Number Purple” (2024), “Fuel” and “Sirens” (2025), followed by “Headlights” in 2026, alongside bootlegs such as his drum & bass flip of “Waterfalls.” Whether producing or working a dance floor, Kortex combines rolling rhythms, forceful basslines and melodic lift, representing a new generation of Adelaide artists blurring the boundaries between bass music and club sounds.
