JohnE is the DJ and production alias of UK-born, Adelaide-based hard-dance artist John Walls. DJing since 2004, he developed his style from the tougher end of British hard house and NRG, citing Justin Bourne, Tinrib, Dom Sweeten and Dynamic Intervention alongside Adelaide producers Narc, Grady G and Dramatik. His sets are driven by stomping basslines, sharp stabs, hoovers and relentless momentum associated with classic hard NRG. As a producer, JohnE collaborated with DeXiTroN on Spongecake for Mangled Wreck Chords and Holy Fucking Shit for Digital Damage Recordings; both tracks reached number two on the Toolbox Digital Top 100. His Adelaide history includes performing with Intent and MC Midnyte at Ravelings: Lost in Space in 2011, plus later appearances at Ignition and System 6. JohnE is the founding member of SinNRG. In August 2026, the project entered a new phase when Ember joined him behind the decks, bringing their established versus-set chemistry into a permanent hard-house duo.
